TrustBank Amana and, its multilateral strategic partner, the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the private sector (ICD), the private sector arm of Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB Group) will organize the “Islamic Finance & Private Sector Forum: Connection for Development” on 15 November 2019 in Royal Torarica Hotel, Paramaribo, Suriname.
The main objective of this event is to present the Islamic finance products and services in support of the Suriname private sector. Also, the event will seize the opportunity to meet with potential stakeholders and at the same time understand and listen to any obstacles encountered in dealing with local and foreign financial institutions.
Islamic Finance & Private Sector Forum intends to explore the role and opportunities of Islamic Finance to support the private sector development in Suriname. The forum will highlight the Surinamese economy and business environment and discuss the prospects of developing Islamic banking and financial investments in Suriname.
Furthermore, the forum aims to mobilize resources to Suriname within the framework of economic integration of member countries and reverse linkage and form strategic business alliances with ICD’s partners in member countries; with a focus on new opportunities offered by the fintech and sukuk to support the resources mobilization needs of the private sector.
The forum will represent a unique opportunity to business people and policymakers to network and establish business relations with Trustbank Amanah, ICD and other leading representatives of the business community in Suriname and the Caribbean’s region.
