Sarajevo Business Forum 2013

 

Bosna Bank International is organizing in cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and other international partner organizations this year - the Sarajevo Business Forum 2013. The objective of SBF2013 is to attract foreign investment and to strengthen economic ties, interdependence and harmonious coexistence of the countries within the region of Southeast Europe. In addition, SBF is aimed at reviving the culture of open dialogue among statesmen and international figures from various countries, as well as presenting Bosnia and Herzegovina and the SEE region to international investors, and above all, fostering economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
 
One of the participants is the eminent leader Dr. Mahathir Mohamed, former Prime Minister of Malaysia who will present models of growth and development of Malaysia and will participate in discussions about the development potential of BiH and the region.
 
Ali Babacan, Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Financial Affairs, will present to the domestic public and investors a vision of success and rapid growth in Turkey, and, together with Dr. Mahathir, discuss the necessary steps for B&H and Southeastern Europe.
 
Conference guests will also be Danilo Turk, former President of Slovenia, who will share his experience regarding the Slovenia’s membership in the European Union and access to European funds.
 
In the second part of the Conference, world experts, representatives of institutional investors in the areas of agriculture, infrastructure, energy and tourism will present the best international experience and practices in these areas, as well as ways to develop the existing potentials.
 
During the Conference, as in previous years, interested entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to hold B2B meetings. The second day of the Conference is scheduled for foreign investors visiting of manufacturing facilities of domestic producers, as well as to join organized tourist visits.
 
The previous three Conferences, which media have dubbed "the most important economic event in modern Bosnia" were attended by more than 1,300 investors from various economy sectors from the countries of the Gulf, Europe, Asia, Africa and the United States of America. Some of the proponents of the projects have come through to investors and their ideas have been used to enhance their business cooperation with foreign markets.
 
Sarajevo Business Forum thus aims at erasing the remnants of sad recent history of the country and making it once more a center for open interaction between cultures and businesses (Read more...)
